Oil and Gas Drilling Jobs Opportunities

Oil and Gas Drilling Jobs are very lucrative as most of you are aware. Average salary can range from $50,000 to $200,000 a year.

- mudman.

Each of these jobs are high paid yet they all have certain degree of dangerous associated with them. Amongst of the more well known risks include

High level of Unrelenting Noise Pollution

As the rig motor is running, oil rig workers must communicate by hand signals only as spoken even shouted words cannot be heard above the level of the motor noise. This will result in different level of danger associated with communication breakdown. Moreover, the risk of hearing loss or hearing damage is always possible for high constant levels of sound exposure.

The external working environment also will bring different level of risks to the rig workers.

For drilling sites on land, the exposure to the elements can range from below zero temperatures to searing desert heat as well as locations which have very high heat and humidity. Tornadoes are a risk in some land sites. For the off-shore drilling sites, again there is the risk of icy cold winds, sweeping across an exposed work site, with constant moisture and biting cold. Frostbite and hypothermia makes oil drilling jobs dangerous on some of the North Sea drilling platforms.
